If you've ever had to deal with Fitness Shaming from people in your environment/circle.
This is something that is not spoken enough about to people who are pursuing goals or trying to make a positive lifestyle change.
People in your environment who have tried and abandoned their own personal health goals will try their HARDEST to dissuade you from pursuing yours. I'm not saying every person in your environment. But believe me when I say a good portion of them, even though their rooting for you, they don't want you to keep progressing.
People are comfortable and when you start to improve your lifestyle and other areas of your life the people closets to you feel threatened by this, as they feel like your leaving them behind.
They would rather see you FAIL than SUCCEED because they are happy enough floating through life as they are, they don't need a friend or family member trying to convince them to make better choices which will ultimately make them face the realisation that they need to do more.
And for most people they don't want to be uncomfortable.
- THEY WILL TELL YOU ITS IMPOSSIBLE
- THEY WILL MOCK AND LAUGH AT YOUR GOALS
- THEY WILL ENCOURAGE YOU TO QUIT
- THEY WILL SABOTAGE YOUR EFFORTS
Do you know why?
Your dedication makes them uncomfortable
HERE'S SOMETHING TO REMEMBER:
- NO ONE TELLS STORIES ABOUT THOSE WHO QUIT.
- NO ONE WILL BE INSPIRED BY PEOPLE WHO TALK MORE THAN THEY DO.
- EVEN THOUGH THERE HEART MIGHT BE IN A GOOD PLACE. IS IT REALLY RIGHT FOR US TO LISTEN TO THIS NEGATIVITY AND EVENTUALLY GIVE IN TO IT.?
Make sure they remember your name, not out of spite, but because we want to put a positive stamp on everyone close to us so we can use our stories and decisions to help these people make a positive change to their lifestyles.
Your a leader for your FAMILY, FRIENDS and those closet to you.
Show them the way and they will follow, but you must be strong enough to see your decision through and gain the experience and expertise so you can help improve those you care about most.
BE A LEADER, BE RELENTLESS, BE CONSISTENT.
